Cat Nips

Cat nip is a naturally grown herb belonging to the mint family and scientifically known as Nepetalactone. This is actually a reaction one can observe in a cat when they come in contact with it.  A cat when affected with Cat Nip usually wriggle around, purrs, chirps, gets excited and starts salivating. These are what one can observe initially but then rubbing and scratching tendencies crop up and things do tend to get nasty.
Usually cat nip is not very harmful and 30% of the cats do not get affected by it besides kitten. They usually are not at all affected since they are too young to experience the sensations that can be experienced by an adult fully grown up cat. But if the herb i.e. cat nip is situated in a remote area from where it is difficult for a cat to recover it, then thing s can get a bit violent. To bring it out from the remote place the concerned cat can do anything and everything within its capabilities and in all possibility can injure himself.  To be precise things do tend to get awkward and uncomfortable, if one wants to put it in proper words.
But be rest assured that this behavior does not prove anything or signify that a cat is getting crazy. But if one decides to grow cat nip in the vicinity of one’s house then (s) he should remember that all cats that comes within a two mile radius will assemble around the cat nip bed. To put it in few words, Cat Nip is hallucinogenic, strong and exciting to cats and they cannot resist its charm.  But one need not require worrying about this since in such a scenario a cat won’t demand anything awkward that can put the owner in an awkward position.
